Retro Future Violin

It is simultaneously both in the past and future, yet exists now.

I’ve talked about my <3 for things Steampunk before, so this shouldn’t be a surprise.

Steampunk artisan Molly “Porkshanks” Friedrich (right) modded this awesome violin for Nathan Johnstone (left) of Abney Park. The faux vacuum tubes have LEDs inside and flash colors as the strings vibrate. The violin will premier at the Abney Park performance at Maker Faire.
